Dear Member,
Slane History and Archaeology Society have planned an interesting day trip for our members onTuesday17th September.
Our bus will be at the car park on Chapel St. Slane at 9am to collect us, we will be stopping for tea/coffee on the way, and will arrive at the Quaker Farmstead in Kilbride Wicklow, for a tour and talk from our host, owner/ restorer Philip Gaughran.
Then we will travel to nearby Kilmacurragh to the National Arboretum – we will have time for lunch at the cafe before the tour of the gardens at 3pm.
On our way home we have booked a table in a restaurant in Skerries where we will have a view of the harbour while we dine.
