AGM : March 2014

The Society held its AGM on Wed. 26th March, when Brendan Matthews made an excellent presentation on family history and genealogy entitled “Who do we think we are”.This talk focused on how to research your family history connectons, what to look for and where to look, repositories etc. Brendan outlined aspects of the importance of family history, the benefits of researching and some of the pitfalls to look for in your research.

The election of officers took place for the coming year with he following result.

The outgoing Sec. Sheila Crehan, announced that she was retiring having spent twenty years in the post. She felt some other member would bring new ideas and verve to the Society. The position of Secretary was not filled on the night. However efforts would be made to recruit someone for the job.
