November meeting, 2016

Slane History and Archaeology Society are hosting a talk by well known sailor and conservationist Pat Murphy who will relate the story of the most famous yacht in Irish history- the Asgard.
Pat will tell the Asgards story from her launch in 1905 to her conservation in Collins Barracks Museum, including her voyage to carry guns and ammunition to the Irish Volunteers.
This promises to be an interesting evening so hope you can attend.
The talk will take place in the old Schoolhouse, Chapel St., Slane at 8pm on Thursday 10th November.
          With kind regards, Mary McDonnell
