Slane History and Archaeology Society Talk.
As part of the Society’s Commemoration of the Centenary of the 1916 Rising, there will be a talk entitled “Family Connections – the Life of Joseph Plunkett 1887-1916” given by Mary McDonnell.
 Recounting the story of one of Ireland’s most influential families, Mary will bring us on a journey through Louth, Meath and Dublin before introducing us to the Plunkett and Gifford families in Dublin City, the events of 1916 and its aftermath. The talk will take place on Thursday 21st April at 8pm in the old Schoolhouse building beside the Church on Chapel St., Slane.
            Non members welcome and parking available.
