His sons Edward who died in 1861 aged 7 years and John died in 1872 aged 21 years. CARPENTER – Erected by Denis Carpenter of Rathbran in memory of his brother Thomas who died May 23rd 1935. Also his parents, his brothers and sister.

CASSIDY – Pray for the soul of Jane, beloved wife of Patrick Cassidy, Slane Commons, who died July 16th 1890. Also her husband Patrick who died April 30th 1892 aged 84 years. And four of their children who died young. Also his son George Cassidy who died 17th November 1929 aged 76 years, whose wife Annie died 21 July 1937. Their son Patrick died 19th July 1938. Erected by their sons George and James. Their daughter Mary died 18th July 1957. And their son Thomas died 25th April 1987 aged 88 years.
CHEEVERS – Beneath this monument lie the remains of Laurence Cheevers, Parish Priest of Grangegaoth and Monknewtown for 33 years. Died July 3rd 1818 in the 73rd year of his sacred age.
CHESICI – Erected by Nicholas Chesici in memory of his father Thom Chesici who died April 17th 1809 aged 53. Also three of his children.

CONNELL – Erected by Andrew Connell, Creewood, in memory of his beloved parents, Patrick and Margaret Connell who died in June 1849. Maurice Connell died March 27th 1940. His wife Mary died February 17th 1959. Thomas Connell died November 29th 1964.
CONNOLLY – Erected by Edward Connolly, Grangegeeth, in memory of his father Edward Connolly who died August 13th 1866 aged 45 years. Also his mother Jane Connolly who died December 21st 1901 aged 65 years. And his sister Jane Connolly who died June 7th 1883 aged 18 years. Also the above Edward Connolly who died September 12th 1938 aged 70 years and his wife Kate died 17th January 1942 aged 73 years.
C UMMULKSEY – This stone and burial place belongeth to Cummulksey in Drogheda and his posterity. ( This could be Cumuskey) ( There is a lane leading off to the right coming up towards Grangegeeth Chapel called Ballahomiskey Lane which translates to “Cumuskey’s townland lane”
CURRAN – Erected by Catherine Curran, Kellystown, in memory of her husband Patrick Curran who died 8th May 1909. Also her son Thomas Curran died 15th September 1904. Also his wife Catherine died 25th June 1928. Also their son Nicholas died 1st August 1936. Also their son Michael died 8th June 1955.
DEVLIN – Devlin. ( This is the grave of the Devlin family who owned a cornmill near Grangegeeth at the time of the famine. It is surrounded by heavy iron framework to protect it from graverobbers).
DILLON – Erected to the memory of Patrick Dillon, who died March 16th 1833 aged 54 years.
DOGGETT – In loving memory of Peter P.F. Doggett, Grangegeeth, Slane, Co.Meath who died 10th September 1994 aged 65 years. Son of William and Mary. His infant children who died 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1967, 1969, 1972.
DOGGETT – Roche 1700 + Doggett 1910. Interred here are members of the Roche and Doggett family, Blackhollow, Grangegeeth. Peter Doggett 1910, his wife Catherine (nee Roche) 1934. Their children Peter 1955, William 1956, Margaret 1966 and Mary Jane 1972. Mary, wife of William died 21st October 1976 aged 86 years, interred in new cemetery.
DUFF – Beneath this stone lies the earthly remains of John Duff of Bawnhill in this parish who died December 10th 1842 aged 75 years. Also Anne, his wife, died December 26th 1847. Also Thomas Duff, Mountfortesque, died January 4th 1889.
DUFF – In memory of our parents John Duff, died November 5th 1906 aged 75 years, his wife Mary J. Duff died 11th February 1911 aged 69 years. Thomas Duff died 4th January 1889. His wife Anne Duff died 6th February 1842 aged 40. Erected by Francis Kelly, Kathleen Calvert and Emily M. Duff.

Also my brother Richard who died September 22nd 1852 aged 45 years. Also three children Anne, Mary and Julia who died young. Also the above named Peter Fleming who died 14th May 1884 aged 68 years. Also Julia, wife of the above named Peter who died 18th February 1905. His brother Patrick who died 4th June 1894. Their grandchildren Ethna died 8th December 1914, William died 23rd April 1933.
GARGAN – In loving memory of James Francis Gargan, Creewood, who died 30th April 1916. His wife Katherine Mary (nee Rogers) died 8th March 1921. Their son Phillip who died 30th May 1941. His wife Jane Agnes (nee Hoey) who died 24th February 1940. His brother Patrick died 22nd May 1980. His wife Margaret (nee Rock) who died 22nd February 1961. His sister Kate who died 28th February 1975.
GIBBONS – In loving memory of Patrick Gibbons, Grangegeeth, who died January 10th 1915 aged 60 years. His wife Julia died February 8th 1928 aged 75 years.
GOODWIN – Erected by Hugh Goodwin, Grangegeeth, in memory of his father Patrick Goodwin who died May 19th 1797 aged 50 years. Also his mother Mary who died March 1792 aged 47 years. Also his son Pat died March 26th 1842 aged 21. The above Hugh Goodwin is also here. He died November 1847 aged 67 years. Also his sons Thomas, James, Hugh and John who died July 28th 1913. Also their children Eliza, Mary and Patrick. Also Thomas Goodwin who died December 13th 1966.
GOODWIN – Erected by Joseph Goodwin of Slane to his parents, Laurence and Alice Goodwin, and his sisters Alice and Maria Goodwin. Also his sons Joseph, Edward and Laurence Francis. Also Emily, his wife died February 18th 1877.
GOODWIN – Goodwin 1870. Erected by Joseph Goodwin, of Slane, as a tribute of respect to his deceased parents Laurence and Alice Goodwin. And his sisters Alice and Marian Goodwin. Also his sons Joseph, Edward and Laurence Goodwin. Emily Goodwin dearly beloved wife of Joseph Goodwin died February 18th 1877. Also Julia Emily Goodwin died July 26th 1882 and her father the above Joseph Goodwin died October 27th 1882.
GORMAN – Erected by Denis Gorman in memory of his father James who died February 1862 and his mother Mary who died 1872.

HATFIELD – This stone and burial place belongeth to Thomas Hatfield and posterity. Here lyeth the body of Elenor Owgan, his wife, who departed this life May 26th 1772 aged 37. Also her mother Jane Shields died March 14th 1777 aged 64 years. Also Patrick Conlon and his wife Mary.

KEALY – In loving memory of Mary Kealy, The Rock, who died 11th March 1919 and her husband Thomas who died 6th December 1924. Peter Kealy died 20th January 1972 aged 88 years.Richard Kealy died November 7th 1972 aged 87 years.

MAGAIN – This monument was erected by John Magain who departed this life ——————- his daughter Mary ———- child of the above ————- of Bryanstown ——— 2nd 1809 aged 12 years.
MARKEY – Erected in memory of Michael Markey, Creewood, who died 1st April 1929. And his wife Margaret who died 20th February 1917. Their son Edward died Christmas Day 1957. Their grandson Eamon died 17th November 1963 aged 17 years. Their daughter Margaret (Maggie) died 9th November 1991.
