BELLEW – In loving memory of Bridget Bellew, Collon, who died 27th June 1950 aged 62 years. Her husband Robert died 2nd August 1966. Their son Peter died 5th January 1986 aged 65 years.

BLUNT – This stone was erected by Edward Blunt of New Rath in memory of his father Patrick Blunt who departed this life the 2nd April 1800 aged 94 years.Also of his sister Margaret Blunt. She departed this life 16th April 1801 aged 49 years. And also of his sister Alice Blunt. She departed this life the 1st June 1801 aged 21 years. Here also lieth the remains of the above Edward Blunt who departed this life on the 13th December 1806 in the 28th year of his age. Also the remains of his mother Ann Blunt, wife of the above Patrick Blunt. She departed this life on the 7th day of July 1809 aged 61 years.

BLUNT – Erected in memory of the late Robert Blunt of Newtown who died 20th January 1860 aged 72 years. Also his wife Jane Blunt who died 20th January 1880.

BOYLAN – Erected by Catherine Boylan, Fair Street, Drogheda in memory of her husband John, formerly of Slane, and late of Drogheda, who died 14th November 1897 aged 72 years and her daughter Alice who died 20th July 1884 aged 9 years.

BOYLAN – In loving memory of Anne Josephine Boylan, Cashel, Slane, who died 5th July 1936. Her husband Owen died 5th November 1955. Their daughter Annie Josephine died 7th February 1950 and their son Patrick Eugene died 13th May 1979.

BOYLE – Erected by Teresa Boyle In loving memory of her beloved mother Mary Murtagh who died 25th August 1880. Also her husband Andrew Boyle who died 28th August 1930. The above Teresa who died 29th October 1940.

BRADY – In loving memory of Terence Brady, Rushwee, died 19th March 1928 aged 62. His wife Rose ( nee Sheridan ) died 12th January 1954 aged 85. Their sons Thomas died 9th November 1937 aged 40. John died 11th October 1949 aged 54. Their daughter Katie Kirby died 10th February 1963 aged 72. Erected by their grandchildren.

BRADY – In loving memory of Julia Brady died 7th May 1947. Her husband Philip died 3rd April 1957. Their son George died 15th February 1883.

BRIODY – In loving memory of the Briody family Slane. Frank Briody died 6th August 1988 aged 88.

BYRNE – This stone was erected by Thomas Byrne in memory of his posterity. Also his daughter Jane Byrne who departed this life October ye 7th 1796 aged 20 years. Here also lie the remains of the above Thomas Byrne who died 7th ( rest buried ).

CALLAGHAN – In loving memory of our dear Mam Mollie Callaghan ( nee Brady ) Liverpool, England and formerly of Slane died 20th May 1984 aged 84 years. Forever in our hearts.

CARPENTER – Erected by John Carpenter of Cruicerath in memory of his mother Margaret who departed this life 26th October 1809 aged 50 years. Also his father Patrick Carpenter who died 18th August 1838 aged 93 years. And his sister Catherine McKeowne who died 19th September 1820 aged 30 years. Here also lieth the above John Carpenter who departed this life 31st July 1871 aged 81 years. Also his wife Sarah Carpenter who departed this life 12th October 1882 aged 82 years.

CARPENTER – Erected AD 1821 by John Carpenter of Mount Hanover as a humble tribute of filial affection to the memory of his deceased father Francis Carpenter who departed this life on the 18th June 1801 aged 48 years. Here also lieth the remains of many of his ancestors and his cousin Thomas Gallagher. Also of his mother Mary died 8th May 1834 aged 63 years. May they rest in peace.

CARPENTER – Erected by Thomas Carpenter, Junior, West Street, Drogheda who died on the 3rd August 1903 59 years. In loving memory of his parents, brothers and sisters who are here interred. Thomas Carpenter, senior, died June 26th 1875 aged 70 years. Margaret Carpenter died June 11th 1885 aged 76 years. John Carpenter died March 23rd 1874 aged 21 years. Francis Carpenter died February 14th 1877 aged 34 years. Patrick Carpenter died April 1st 1880 aged 24 years. William Carpenter died February 12th 1890 aged 26 years. Kate Carpenter died December 23rd 1889 aged 42 years. Mary Curran died May 25th 1897 aged 58 years.

CHIEVERS – This tribute of filial affection was erected by John Chievers of Coalbrook in memory of his father Richard Chievers who departed this life the 24th November 1817 aged 65 years and three children who died young. Also his sister Elizabeth who departed this life 11th August 1835 aged 40 years. And also of his mother Mary Chievers who departed this life 28th October 1837 aged 69 years.

CLARKE – In loving memory of William Clarke, Rathmaiden, died 1915. His wife Mary Anne died 1926. Their son Thomas died 14th April 1987. His wife Mary died 16th October 1995 ( interred in Dunshaughlin ).

CLUSKEY – In loving memory of Patrick Cluskey, Fennor, who died 1st February 1893. His daughter Agnes who died 8th November 1900 and his son Thomas who died 18th December 1901. His daughter Mary Curran ( nee Cluskey ) who died 21st February 1934. His wife Mary who died 6th July 1935. Marcella Carolan, Fennor, died 4th January 1957. William Carolan died 5th December 1962. In loving memory of Ann Nancy Carolan, Fennor, died 24th March 1989 aged 53 years.

COGAN – Erected to the memory of Mr. Thomas Cogan of Slane who died on the 16th day of February 1856 aged 66 years. Also his son Patrick aged 14 years. His son Surgeon Major Francis Cogan who died March 11th 1871 aged 41 years. Also Mrs. Anne Cogan relict of the above named Thomas Cogan who died 23rd January 1870 aged 77 years and their son Charles Cogan died 17th April 1907. His wife Clare who died 7th September 1884 and their sons Thomas, who died 13th June 1877, and Charles, who died 19th March 1931. His son Phillip Charles Cogan, Shalvanstown, died 2nd March 1975 aged 50 years.

COLLY – Erected by Mrs. Pat Colly of Navan in memory of her husband John Colly who died February 13th 1852 aged 69 years.

COMMONS – Erected by John Commons, Belpatrick, Collon in memory of his father John, his mother Catherine and his brother Patrick. The above named John died 4th May 1974 and his wife Mary died 6th Sept 1877.

CRILLY – In loving memory of Nicholas Crilly, Newrath who died 1st January 1942. His wife Mary died 19th May 1989. His son Nicholas died 27th January 1929. Also his daughter Monica died 26th July 1986. His parents Nicholas died 4th August 1920 and his wife Mary died 25th January 1921.

CRINNION – In loving memory of Patrick Crinnion died 28th June 1947. His wife Catherine died 26th January 1951.

CRONIN – To the memory of Doctor Richard P. Cronin who for 22 years faithfully discharged the onorous duties of medical officer in the district of Slane and who sacrificing his life at the call of duty died on January 8th 1902. This monument was erected by his many friends and admirers. In memoria Aeterna Erit Justus.

CROSBY – This stone was erected by Mr. Thomas Crosby of Drogheda for himself and his posterity. Where lyeth the remains of his mother Anne Crosby, alias Ogle, who departed this life 13th March 1796 aged 49 years. Also four of his children.

CURRY – Erected by Anne Curry of Mooretown in memory of her father Patrick Curry who died 25th October 1868 and her mother Margaret who died 14th January 1873 and her brother and sister James and Mary.

CURTEN – Here lieth the body of a pious widow, Dorethy Curten, alias Flood, who died April 27th 1734 aged 77. Mary, a daughter of hers, died aged 12 buried in ye old Abby at Navan. Madlin a daughter of hers and John a son buried in St. James Dublin, the first 25 the next aged 19. Nicholas, her husband, died August 13th 1718 buried Stackallen. This stone was fixed by her son Thomas of ye Holy Order of St. Dominic in 1757, whereat he is buried and his sister Elizabeth, a nun of Holy Orders of St. Theresa, and Patrick a brother of hers. In charity ye prayers of ye faithfull are expected for the spiritual repose of ye widows soul and ye souls of her family whose corps lies here or elsewhere in their mournful graves, ye from such as see or reads these lines.

CURTIS – Erected by James Curtis of Slane in memory of his beloved son Marcus Curtis who departed this life on the 6th December 1830 aged 15 years.

DALY – In loving memory of Mary Daly, Knockerk, died 17th May 1949. Her husband Patrick died 10th April 1958. Their son Anthony died 18th December 1981.

Also the Rev. Phillip Dwyer who died 12th November 1925. Also Patrick Dwyer who died January 10th 1924 aged 85 years. Also Anne Dwyer who died 27th September 1926 aged 78 years and Matthew Dwyer who died 15th January 1930 aged 80 years. And their grand-nephew Thomas Dwyer, Brittstown died 3rd September 1978 aged 63 years.

ELMES – Erected by Eliza Elmes, Stackallen, in loving memory of her husband James Elmes and their children. Also the above named Eliza who died 18th June 1920.

FAGAN – In loving memory of Walter Fagan, The Pound Road, Slane died 4th July 1917 aged 43. His loving wife Rose died 25th May 1946 aged 65.

FITZSIMONS – In loving memory of the Fitzsimons Family, Cashel, Slane and of Edward and Mary Fitzsimons, Chapel Street Slane. Edward Farrell, Cashel Slane died 22nd December 1989. His wife Catherine ( Kitty ) died 16th November 1994.

FITZSIMONS – In loving memory of James Fitzsimons, Cashel, Slane. His niece Maureen Fitzsimons Slane died 26th July 1987. Erected by his nieces.

FLEMING – In loving memory of Catherine Fleming, Slane who departed this life 17th September 1909 and of her daughter Catherine who died 28th May 1928.

And his son John died 4th October 1847 aged 73 years. Also John Gaughran of Slane died May 2nd 1887 aged 74 years.

GAUGHRAN – Erected AD 1822 by Mrs. Judith Gaughran, late of Platin, in memory of her beloved husband John Gaughran who departed this life the 7th November 1821 aged 31 years and also of his daughter Catherine who died young.

TALLON – In loving memory of Mary Ann Tallon, Mount Charles, Slane who died 28th January 1936. Her son Anthony who died 28th October 1943. Her husband Richard who died 24th December 1956 and daughter May who died 4th September 1978.

TIMMONS – In loving memory of Paddy Timmons died 18th April 1920. His mother Mary Ann died 20th May 1921. His father Peter died 12th May 1930. His sister-in-law Connie Timmons died 30th May 1965 His brother Richard died 4th March 1972.

TIMMONS – In loving memory of James Timmons, Rochestown, Slane died 14th November 1946 aged 75 years. His wife Mary died 31st August 1972 aged 89 years.

TIMMONS – Sacred to the memory of Mr. Thomas Timmons, late of West Street, Drogheda, who died on the ninth January 1861 aged 23 years.. This stone was placed here by his sorrowing widow Eliza Timmons.

TOMBLETY – Erected by Charles Tomblety of Rosnaree in memory of his father Bryan Tomblety who departed this life February 12th 1782 aged 30 years and of his brother Patrick Tomblety who departed this life September 24th 1804 aged 28 years. Here also repose the remains of Mrs. Anne Devlin, late of Slane. To a pure and moral condition was joined a goodness of heart and manner. She was called to fulfil 31st March 1849 in the 76th year of her age.

TRAYNOR – Erected by Mary Traynor, College Hill, in memory of her husband Pat Traynor who died the 10th August 1882 aged 63.

TUMULTY – Erected by Michael Tumulty of Westgate Drogheda in memory of his father Lawrence Tumulty who departed this life 6th January 1791 aged 73. Also of his mother and three of his children.

VAUGHEY – Erected by Elizabeth M. Vaughey, Stagrennan, Drogheda in loving memory of her brother Joseph Vaughey who died 24th October 1908 aged 61 years. Also her brother James Vaughey who died 25th March 1911 aged 70 years.

VAUGHEY – Alexander Vaughey erected this stone in tribute to the memory of his son James Vaughey who departed this life in the 18th year of his age.

VAUGHEY – In loving memory of John Vaughey died 1893, his wife Margaret ( nee Wall ) died 1908, their daughter Ellen O’Neill died July 1915. Their sons James, died 10th April 1957, Patrick died 9th January 1968. His wife Marion ( nee Gammons ) died 29th July 1924. Their daughter Betty Johnson died 2nd February 1964. Peter Baxter died 9th November 1990 aged 79. His infant grandson John died 18th October 1984. Thomas Sylvester, husband of the above Betty died 1st November 1991 aged 81.

VAUGHEY –Erected by Mr. John and Christine Vaughey of the Hill of Slane as a tribute of filial affection to the memory of their father Alex Vaughey who departed this life 10th February 1837 aged 80. Also of their brother Patrick who died 10th November 1837 aged 42 years and of their beloved mother Mary Vaughey who departed this life the 6th August 1848 aged 88 years. Also of their sister Anne aged 20 years.And their brother James aged 18 years and their sister Margaret who died in June 1845 aged 50 years. John Vaughey died January 1876. Mrs. Ellen Vaughey died in June 1885.

VAUGHEY – This burial place belongeth to Patrick and Michael Vaughey who erected this monument in the year 1788 in duty to their father Michael Vaughey.

Also his wife Mary who departed April 1799 aged 68 years. Also Christopher who died in January 1824 aged 69 years. Also Joseph who died in December 1798 aged 47 years. Also Nicholas who died 1799 aged 86 years and also his wife Margaret who died in December 1813 aged 80 years and also Owen who died in January 1812 aged 22 years. And also Catherine Weldon, wife to Thomas Walsh Junior who died in June 1827 aged 28 years. Likewise Bridget died in February 1831 aged 70 years and also Christopher, son to the above named Nicholas Walsh who died in December 1820 aged 55 years. Also Margery died in March 1819 aged 38 years.

WARD – Erected by John Ward in memory of his son Owen who died 18th October 1861 aged 18 years. Here also lies his son John who departed this life the 12th August 1882 aged 35 years. Also the mother of the above Elizabeth Ward who died on the 28th September 1892.

WELCH – This stone and burial place belongeth to Bartolomew Welch and his posterity. Here lyeth the body of his father Nicholas Welch. Brother Thomas Welch who died November ye 10th 1772 aged 50 years.

WILLENS – Beneath this tomb lies the remains of Thomas Willens, late of Donore in the Co. Meath Esq. who died on the 18th March 1818 aged 39 years. This tomb was erected by his widow Mary Willens. Here lies the remains of Mary Willins, otherwise O’Brien, widow of the above named Thomas Willins who died on the 26th day of August 1839 aged 60 years and here also rest the remains of Samuel Willins son to the above Thomas who died 14th January 1843 aged 31 years. Also the remains of Luke Willins, son to Joseph of Slane who died 5th January 1847 aged 10 years.
